Profile
神奈川県出身 横浜在住。
大手電機メーカーに勤務後、3年間のアメリカ駐在を経験。
ニュージャージー州やカリフォルニア州で出会った邸宅や空間に触れ、
”暮らしそのものを楽しむ”という文化に深く魅了されました。
Born in Kanagawa and now based in Yokohama, Japan.
After working at a major electronics manufacturer, Yoko spent three years living
in the United States.
During that time, she encountered many homes in New Jersey and California
—each filled with warmth and individuality—
which left a lasting impression on her.
These experiences deeply inspired her appreciation for a culture that celebrates “the joy of living itself.”
Career
帰国後、インテリアコーディネーター資格を取得。
2001年より、米国建築設計事務所（アトランタ本社） 日本支社 に勤務。
6年間にわたり、住宅や商業空間の設計インテリアデザイン業務に携わりました。
その中で出会ったのが、モールディングというディテールデザイン。
装飾ではなく、空間に陰影と品格を与える「構造としての美」に惹かれ、
以後その技法を自らのデザインの軸としています。
2010年に独立。
造作家具・モールディング・空間構成のデザインを中心に、
住宅からホテルライクな住まいまで幅広く手掛けています。
機能性と美しさ、そして静けさの調和を大切にしながら、
”心地よく、長く愛される空間”をデザインしています。
After returning to Japan, she obtained her Interior Coordinator certification.
From 2001, she worked for an American architectural design firm
headquartered in Atlanta, at its Japan office.
For six years, she was involved in residential and commercial design projects.
It was during this time that she discovered molding—a design detail that gives depth and quiet dignity to space.
She was drawn to its beauty not as decoration, but as structure, shaping the atmosphere through light and shadow.
Since then, molding has remained at the heart of her design philosophy.
In 2010, Yoko began her independent career.
Her work focuses on custom furniture, molding design, and spatial composition,
creating interiors that are both refined and deeply livable.
From private residences to hotel-like homes,
she designs spaces that balance function, craftsmanship, and quiet beauty—
spaces that continue to bring comfort and joy over time.
Philosophy
限りある命の中で、今この瞬間をどう生きるか。
その問いが、私の中で
空間と暮らしを見つめる大きな指針となりました。
だからこそ、住まいは単に整える場所ではなく、
心と暮らしをやさしく支えてくれる空間であってほしい。
それが、私のデザインの原点です。
Within the limits of life,
how we live each moment becomes essential.
That question has become a guiding principle in my work,
shaping the way I approach space and everyday living.
A home is not merely a place to arrange things.
It should gently support both the heart and daily life.
That belief lies at the very core of my design philosophy.

お気に入りの椅子に腰を下ろした時の安堵。
それらの何気ない時間こそが、人生の豊かさを感じさせてくれます。
命の有限さを知った今、
私は”一瞬の今”を慈しむことこそが豊かな人生だと感じています。
私は、インテリアという形で、
人が日常を大切に生きるための「心の居場所」を整えていきたいのです。

A home quietly supports both your “now” and the “tomorrow” you are becoming.
I value not dramatic change,
but the quiet happiness found in everyday life—
the moment morning light touches the wall,
the soft sound of placing a cup,
the gentle comfort of sitting in a favorite chair.
It is in these ordinary moments that we feel the richness of life.
Now that I have come to understand that life is finite,
I believe that true richness lies in cherishing each passing moment.
Through the language of interior design,
I hope to create a sanctuary for the heart—
a space where people can live each day with calm awareness.
